I decided it was time to sort out my pond and get it back to full health and vigour. I started by cleaning it with a net to scrape the bottom and have filled a couple of buckets with yucky stuff. It actually doesn't smell too bad considering but it is dark and evil looking.It seems to be mainly leaves from the many trees we have around us and probably loads of frog poo.
We have just started a compost bin going and I wondered if this stuff was good or bad news compost-wise.
