What are the pros and cons of this?It is a tall skinny house and the garden faces east and is completely open at the back not overlooked at all.seller says it is sunny til 2 and then only sunny at the far end.Is it likely to be gloomy?

Well, my garden is SW and, as I look out now, I suspect the East side of teh house will feel quite gloomy later in the day/evening.

You'd have to view it in the evening really, I suppose.

noddyholder · 21/04/2010 19:37

I think I will although I went to the back today at 4 and there was no sun!

Nodders - I go back at the times you wanted to use the garden - for example in the summer you'd probably want to be out there at meal times and also in the evening. Is the far end somewhere you could use for sitting or is it too far from the house?

There is a huge terrace directly outside the kitchen doors it is in full sun until 2 ish then there is a lower level at the rear which is grass and that is sunny for a few more hours.have been there at 11 and really lovely and sunny and been at 4.30 and not sunny but light as not overlooked at all.No set times we would want to use it Prob b'fast most days so ok then and have people in teh evenings a fair bit in summer so could have lights a fire etc.No small kids at all to consider as ds is 16 and wouldn't sit in the garden with us unless a he was ill or b a relation was there who may give him money! Dp overthinking it we are not mad gardeners or sunbathers.Inside of house light at all times due to not overlooked x
