Fast growing shrubs with good coverage

Does anyone have any recommendations please ??? We have a row of beautiful trees/shrubs at the end of a green facing our house. The local kids have managed to create a fairly big gap that I would like to fill in as quickly as possible as teenagers were using it as a drinking den over the weekend.

I want to plant something that is fast growing and somewhat prickily! I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

What about a Rose? Rosa Rugosa is thorny and makes a beautiful hedge.

Or pyracantha? Or Holly? Or Gorse? Or Hawthorn? Or Blackthorn?

None of these are particularly slow growing I don't think. Holly would be the slowest.

You can get large mature hedging plants from Hedge Nursery and they delivery anywhere in the UK. Their prices are good and it saves waiting for them to grow! The only problem is delivery is £55 for the larger plants, but this is per order rather than per plant, so if you order a few it's still cost effective.

Rubus cockburnius. The ghost bramble.Grows like a buggers, looks lovely in shade and really heinous prickles. Believe me I know (ouch). I have loads of the stuff, if you need any let me know.

Ooh, porridge - I adore rubus cockburnianus, but don't really think I have the space to do it justice. You lucky woman.
