Can anybody recommend a smallish (no taller than 2m) tree for a corner of my garden.
It is mainly in the shade but if its higher than the fence and trellis it will get the sun till 5 ish.
It is all new topsoil in the garden if that makes any difference.
thank you.

A tree that will only grow 2m? That is a struggle. Would you consider a shrub instead?

Bamboo might be anothe suggestion. I have that and also have climbers running through the bamboo. Lovely

If it has to be a tree consider a Bay Tree, or maybe a small Acer.

hhmmm really wanted a tree there.
Thought about a Japanese Acer and keeping it smallish but i can only find tiny ones.

Dh suggests a Japanese maple perhaps. It might end up bigger than 2m, but they are at least slow growing.

ah ha im on the right track with the maple ( not acer) any ideas where i can buy them online?
