Screening Advice Needed.

I need to cover an awful old and crumbling fence and low brick wall approx 30 foot long. Can not afford a new fence and can not grow much quickly as in a very shady spot.
Has anyone put up fern, willow or bamboo screens? Do they look any good and are they worth the cash? Thanks.

We've just had some bark screening delivered today from Primose-London (cheapest I could find and free next day delivery). We originally planned to go for bamboo or willow but we found it a bit too gappy and see-through, the bark is more solid (in our case it's going behind trees, so the bark should fit in well). We haven't put it up yet so I can't comment about how good it looks yet, but the rolls are 4m long so you do get a lot for your money.

Bamboo has to be heavily varnished or it will disintegrate after about 5 years

MrsL123-I have not seen the bark screening before and like the look of it-have you put yours up yet-how easy was it and how does it look?
