Anyone got a Wintersweet?

I've been lusting after this plant for a whole year after reading about it!

Does anyone actually have one?
I've heard lots of amazing things about the flowers and scent, but -

a) do the bare branches really look a bit rubbish in winter? The flowers seem tiny.

b) it seems to grow very large. Is it possible to keep it pruned back to a smaller size, without forfeiting the flowers? Maybe kept in a container, the growth will be a bit stunted anyway...?

I've never heard of it and just done google images. Is it forsythia? I've got a massive forsythia that's really a hedge. The blossom is just now looking like it'll be finishing soon, but we love it. It blossoms just when you know you're coming out of winter and we've got all summer to look forward to. It's so bright and yellow and happy.
You can cut them back quite hard if you want.
