low fence...need privacy

We bought a property last year and had a two storey extension built, becuase of this we had to remove a tree in our garden that provided us with privacy. Now the tree has gone, there's just a really low level fence remaining and I have started to really hate it because my NDN is SO nosey. Whenever we go out in the garden she's there, and to top it off she can now see directly into our lounge as the low fence is right next to our french doors. Anyway, what can I do apart from putting up a 6ft fence? The fence belongs to my neighbour so I just want to perhaps put up some really fast evergreen climbers? HELP!

What about some trellis with a climbing plant?

or a really good fast growning shrub, our neighbours have some rather large japonica's, over 6ft, our's are smaller, as we didn't plant them for two years after the developers left us to plant them ourselves

Yes why not put up trellis on your side and then add some fast climbers or wall shrubs.

How sunny is it where the plants would go?

You cant beat Solanum for speed and pretty flowers but it prefers a sunny spot

There was trellis on my side but for some odd reason the lady next door decided to take half of it down...I will put some back up I think and the Solanum looks just what I need, my garden is SW facing so think this will hopefully take...thank you! x Off to image google japonica's now!

Or Honeysuckle - I bought tiny little bits from eBay last year and within one season they grew the height of my 5ft fence and flowered. Do bear in mind they won't provide the same degree of privacy in winter.
