bonsai trees - where can I hide it so DH doesn't find it but it doesn't die?

It's our 6th Wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks - which is 'Iron' or more modern, 'Wood'. I bought DH a bonsai tree today as it was on special offer but I don't know where to hide it so he doesn't see it for two weeks! Will the garage be too cold for it? Or if I hid it during the eves in a wardrobe befoe he got home from work, would that be ok for it? Silly question I know, but I don't want the tree to die off before I give it to him!

Neighbour? Do you have a loft?

Its a tree fgs, it will die in the dark!

Give it to a neighbour to look after - depending what type of tree it is, a sheltered wind-free spot with warm sunshine and keep the compost moist but not waterlogged.

Happy Wedding anniversary btw! 6th seems a long time ago here!

Should have read original post properly - thought it was a couple of days, not weeks, so not loft.
