I'm hoping DH will do this sometime next week. It always looks fabulous after it is done, but I know he dreads the job every year.

My OH did ours last summer and yea it looked nice and clean but, unfortunately he blasted away the cement in between the slabs, so it is all going to have to be repointed this year.

Blimey, I know how you feel. Disastrous DH decided to blast away at our innocent little patio with a pressure-washer. Predictable results - pointing between slabs dislodged and smashed up. Never again. Now we use Garden Genie, recommended by a friend. It's a spray that deals with patio grime. No pressure needed and not toxic. I sprayed and left it and it keeps working (especially when it rains).
