help me buy an apple tree

Have asked for an apple tre for my birthday.... I'd like it in a massive pot (no choice about that!) and to be something tht changesa ll year round and produce fruit.

Any thought on where to start?

You could try a specialist fruit nursery and ask their advice or get a catalogue?

Yes we have two but there were already here when we moved in, I wouldn't know what to choose, which is why I suggested asking a specialist nursery for advice.
I do think that eaters are nicer to have than cookers though, our DS2 can reach the lowest apples on the small tree we have and its great to see him munching on fresh apples...
