i received this today from a gardening catalogue.

The roots are in a plastic bag with shredded newspaper.

Can i plant it in the garden now or do I wait until spring?

Plant asap (ideally within 24 hours of receipt). Soak roots in water for an hour or so before planting.

I will do it in the morning when i can see what i am doing

I sometimes stick them in a pot for a few days until I have the time or inclination to plant them properly.
