Could I please have some suggestions for a cutting garden?

I am experiencing a gap in flowers now. I have some cosmos, but the hydrangeas aren't quite in and roses are ending. What should I grow to provide a year-round cutting garden?

Flowering in my garden at the moment are lilies, achillea, salvia, some capanula varieties, hemerocallis (although these probably not good as cut flowers), dahlia and a white flowered hardy chrysanthemum. Echinacea and rudbeckia are just coming into flower with Japanese Anemones not far behind.

I use all these as cut flowers.

I have a book of Sarah Raven's called The Cutting Garden which provides lots of ideas for both annuals and perennial flowers, year round.

Thank you, Shelling! I'll take a look at the book, and check out the varieties you've described.
