Spinach bolting

Does anyone know what we are doing wrong? This is our first attempt at growing veg and everthing is doing really well except the spinach.

Even the stuff we only planted out last week has bolted.

My brussels sprouts have done the same. , but not that , as I don't actually like brussels sprous...

Could they be lacking water?

It's the heat, you need to be keeping it very well watered and fed, and to be picking it constantly ie every day, that said it will probably still bolt, spinach is a pita to grow.

Oh excellent. Thanks for being so quick! Haven't watered it at all since we planted it outside

Do you think if I picked it now it may come back? Will have a go anyway.

Spinach beet is supposed to be less prone to bolting. Ours still does a bit but you can still use the leaves. It also doesn't disappear to nothing quite as badly as real spinach does when you cook it (IMO).
