Basic (and probably dim) questions about tomato plants...

We were given a sproutling plant by my SIL...
it has been on a south facing window sill for a month or so- it is now 3 feet tall, so I have re-potted into a bigger pot this week, with a cane for support (as opposed to a BBQ skewer ).

But:
When do the flowers come?
Does it need to be outside to get tomatoes? (does it need pollination by flying creatures?
Will nasty bugs get to it if I put it out?
Is south facing garden too hot, or just right?
Do I have to feed it?
Will feeding mean it's not organic?

watching with interest - can I also ask, are you meant to prune them so they grow up rather than out ifswim.

Ok, do you know if it's a bush or a cordon? Bushes don't need sideshoots pinching out.
Cordons need sideshoots pinching out.
Flowers now - if you look closely you might see the flowers forming.
Needs pollination. I've got mine in the greenhouse and I just open the door. It'll do fine outside in a south-facing garden. Tomatoes like lots of water though.
I've found a lot of aphids on my plants this year - just pick them off.
Feed the plant after the first truss (lowest bunch of flowers) has set.
You can get organic tomato feed, I think. Don't know how they'd get on if you didn't feed them...

Haven't spotted any flower buds yet...
will go and pop it outside.
