Sunflowers - putting into larger pots

This morning I've transplanted my sunflowers into larger pots (7" thingies).

Can I leave them outside now?

Also, do they need staking - they're quite droopy.

mine are staked and outside. All bedding plants etc can go out from mid may so the sunflowers should be fine.

grow mine against a fence with netting nailed to it, then as they grow support against the netting with a little string

Ooooh! I was just thinking the same about ours!

I'm worried about slugs getting them though - is there such a thing as a child safe slug pellet?

dds have put milk bottles over them to keep them upright and to keep snails off.
They used the little plastic bottles and cut the bottom off then put them upside down over them.

That's reminded me to plant mine out. Thanks!

They are taking over the kitchen windowsill and are very very tall already..
