Gardening Clogs. Tell me all about them

I need them but they are ugly. Saw plastic ones in the gardening shop yesterday and couldn't bring myself to buy such ugly things BUT I do need them. I had leather ones when I was a kid light blue and cream lovely but would that be a huge mistake. (I know they don't make them any more like that!

Hello' Hunter do some nice ones for the Royal Horticultural Society. On The RHS website. Some with roses printed on them others with herbs etc. Worth a look.

I have cheapo ones from Hawkshead. They are ugly but fab as I can just shove my feet into them when going in the garden. Who's looking?

I have had my crocs for over 2 years - ugly yes comfortable absolutely

Not good if you are doing any major work with sharp tools though as they are not very protective.

Oh, I win with the ugliest garden clogs - I have blue plastic ones from Ikea with breathing holes in the top. They absolutely ming, but were cheap as you like and are fabulously useful.

Lidl do a good range of colours if you are looking for a bargain!

I wear those green ones which are basically welly boots without the boot bit up your leg!

I've had them for years and years, just leave them by the back door and slip 'em on before I go outside. I have been known to wear Crocs too, but wet grass leaves my socks damp, and as lovevix says, they don't protect you from sharp branches, thorns etc.

I find Crocs can slip in wet grass if there's wear on the soles. I still mostly wear wooden clogs.

Hey - I work for Hawkshead and not going into administration, buy those ugly wellies! I have some at home and haven't quite managed to wear them yet.
