Leggy sage

Have read somewhere that once sage becomes leggy then you should start all over again. Is this with the same plant? i.e prune it right back? Or with a new plant? It seems to still be very fragrant

Depends on how it looks in your garden i guess! I've cut sage back and sometimes it's grown again and sometimes it hasn't. But I always take cuttings and now have sage everywhere - once it out grows its space - or i decide to have a change around - then out it goes and in goes a 'new' one.
hmmm - not sure how helpful that is to you!
