Strawberry plants gone wrong!!

I bought DD a strawberry plant and am growing it indoors under the skylight. All our other plants are thriving there but the edges of the leaves on the strawberry plant are going brown and dry. I'm thinking it could be a nutrient deficiency or that i overwatered them and flushed out the nutrients from the soil. Is there something i should be feeding them?

Also do they grow up in a vine or along the ground?

they grow along the ground.... eventually growing suckers which you can pot up for next years plants. The brown bits could be due to being to hot and dry? are they near a radiator? or warm air vent? they shouldnt need feeding if they are in a multipurpose compost. dont overwater though or the plant will rot off
