Just got an allotment, or rather just started work and am finding it difficult with DD (2.9) and DS (13 months).

So, am working on a grass patch at the end, but what do people do for shade in the summer? Shed with awning?

Any suggestions quite welcome...

Grow sunflowers

We have no shade and it is often over 30 degrees here. We just don't spend hours in the garden. Or, we sit at the picnic table under the vines - grow grapes!

We have a big apple tree that we inherited on the plot, and have a table/bench/all in one thing underneath it. We also keep a pop up tent down there in the shed (free from Verbeudet a while back!) and the girls sit in there for drinks.
