Butterfly kits

Hi All

We bought a butterfly kit so the kids could watch caterpillars grow up into butterflies and they were delighted with it but DS has broken the caterpillar pot and killed all the caterpillars. I've looked around for replacement caterpillars but at around £11.99 for 5 caterpillars I am warey about buying more in case they don't last either. Does anyone know where I can get cheaper caterpillars???

Thanks

You can't get that type cheaper. But you can get caterpillars for free in your garden if you have one. Just look out for them, put them in a lidded box with holes in and put in some leaves from the plant you found them on. I soooo wish I could do this as it is a much more natural way of watching them grow. I don't have a garden though so do it with the bought pots instead.
