not exactly gardening but nesting birds

We have guinea pigs who spend most of the time in the run which we move around the garden. We have a chaffinch and a great tit picking up the fur to make nests, which is lovely.

We took down the nesting box last year and left it on the table next to our back door.
The little great tits are now nesting in the bird box.
Will they be scared off if we are going in and out?

i should think they'd be very easy prey for a cat. ring rspb and ask them how to move it?

Agree with fishie this is not a good place at all for them to nest and for fledglings to learn to fly.
Agree that calling RSPB is a good idea.
