What to grow in my window boxes?

We have a roof terrace and have bought lots of window boxes which we hang off the railings. In the past have successfully grown lettuces and radishes and herbs, but wondering what else I could grow and when?

I grew miniature glads in pots one year, and morning glory.

Herbs!
Flat leaf parsley (grows well if you wear the trousers supposedly )
Basil, thyme, chives,
lots of nice things for summer
How about strawberries?

Tumbling tom tomatoes

Chillis!
