It's for a gift for MIL. Have looked at the david austin roses, as she has an old house and garden, but not sure how disease resistant they actually are - even though they all claim they are! I have A 'Mary Rose' which smells heavenly but is diseased and spindly.

I would ideally like a tall shrub one, but would look at a bush or a climber if a nice one was found.

I have looked at the david austin one teasing georgia which has pretty flowers.
Does anyone know of Rosa Mundi?

A nice multi colored one would be good but I've not really found one.

thanks...........

I read your title, and thought "ooh, I must source a rosa mundi for my new garden".
Info here
There is a great rose nursery here www.rosesscotland.co.uk/ which I've used before and have really good quality plants.
My favourite climber is Handel (scroll down a bit), but it's not particularly uncommon, just a beautiful climbing rose with a fab perfume.

Hi, thanks for responses. have just clicked on the rosesofscotland and had a look through those. Handel is pretty too.
I have a climbing iceberg, and that always is gorgeous too. I cut it right down last year, and it looks like new again.

I like Rosa glauca, has lovely blue-green leaves and pretty flowers.

Also Rosa mutabilis www.classicroses.co.uk/roses/search.php which changes colour.
Both lovely, and agree Iceberg is a good rose which flowers on and off for ages.
