Websites which sell large shrubs/plants, any ideas please?

Need to get lots of things for our garden and would like some decent size shrubs but having trouble finding any that are in bigger pots (which are not silly money).
Any thoughts?

it can be hard to establish large shrubs, you mmight be better with several smaller ones

Crocus do some in larger pots I think - but a decent nursery would be your best bet I think.

Have checked Crocus thanks but they have limited choice, cannot find what I want in local nurseries unfortunately, hence looking on line...

Are you wanting to keep the shrubs in pots? Or that you want larger shrubs to start with?

Would fast growing be an alternative? just a thought

They are to go in the ground rather than pots.
Fast growing is an option, but as most of the garden is completely bare I just wanted to buy a few good size shrubs to give a bit of a head start, as otherwise it's going to look very bleak and bare for years...

Do you have a local horticultural college nearby? They may be able to recommend suppliers.

What about the big plant nursery?

If you do triangles - opposed to lines of blobs, the shrubs even at the start will add the colour and take away the bareness.

By triangles I mean a larger finished growth shurb at the back then two smaller at each side then a smaller again at the front.

You will be surpirsed in two years how much they will have covered your garden.

try to pick some evergreen aswell so you have colur through the winter months.

Give them good feeds and they will grow faster.

I brought the ame evergreen climber as my dad - he feed his and it grew 20 foot in the first two years, I didn't feed mine and it grew 5 foot in that time and has now 4-5 years later caught up with my dads. So it is surprising what plant feed will achieve.
