More of a question about nesting birds!

I have a beautiful honeysuckle bush beside the house and some other very rapidly growing plant. The problem is I now need to remove them both because the honeysuckle is so vigorous it is taking the guttering off (and also we need the space for a shed).

There is a nest with some sort of small garden birds nesting in it, and I wanted some advice about when to remove it. Surely if I wait til spring I may be making some babies homeless! But if I do it now, is there time for the birds to rebuild a nest elsewhere?

nesting birds at this time of year? strange!!
what do they look like?
very unlikely to have babies now, as the last birds to nest and have babies are wood pigeons who can nest up till september time (if I remember my bird ident course at uni well enough!!)
if you can describe them, we can find out what species they are and then see what they may be up to at this time of year?

very small browny grey. It may not be their nest... just an old one which would be great (no guilt) but they do tend to hop in and out of honeysuckle all day.

As you can tell I am not very good at identifying birds! But it is def a common garden variety.
