ideas wanted please

I have a no garden, just a backyard. I want to brighten it up ready for the summer. I have a few plants/ flowers and a table and chairs out there. ANY ideas appreciated...even wacky ones

What surrounds it? Fence, walls, etc? Can you paint them, hang flower baskets, put trellis and climbing plants up?

Put down a large quantity of playsand and turn it into a beach? I've always wanted to do that to my patio area...

What walls do you have? Can you liven them up somehow with coloured trellis and climbing plants like honeysuckle & clematis or cover the fence/wall with that rush matting.

Place a mirror on one wall behind tall plants to give illusion of depth.
