How do I plant bulbs under weed fabric?

How do I do this? It's not like planting a plant, where you cut a cross in the fabric, as the bulbs will be under the earth.

yes, its the same thing, just make sure the cut is bigger and tuck the flaps under the rest of the fabric so there is a hole in case the bulds 'divide'. defeats the object of the fabric to a point but its the only way I know of

Thanks misi! So you cut the hole big enough to let light through onto the spot of soil where you planted the bulb and then just hope that the plant comes up straight?

yep!

to be honest, I have ripped up all my weed matting except for under the gravel and bark chip paths now. and just use small circles around bigger plants now.
