Thinking of buying a hedge trimmer

Our garden has become slightly overgrown over the winter and I want to trim the hedges down and thin them out a bit in our back garden.
Could anyone recommend a good one?

No, but I want one too! Need to keep our leylandii hedge in check.

I can recommend hedge -trimmers - once you get one it is a gadget, therefore the province of the male of the household - and you never have to cut the hedges again yourself
