Another houseplant question

Has anyone got any recommendations for a houseplant that copes with direct sunlight. We have a southfacing room that gets hot and has intense sun most of the day during the summer.
Haven't a clue which one to choose. Thanks

Desert cacti.
Codiaeum - Joseph's coat of many colours. Make sure it doesn't get scorched or parched during a hot summer. Needs a fair amount of attention.
Cyperus - Umbrella plant.
Sansevieria - Mother-in-Law's Tongue.
Yucca. Don't get leaves too close to the glass or leaves could scorch.
