I have had a fair few courgettes from my plant but went outside today to find a white 'bloom' over the leaves.

What is that all about???!

I have another very healthy looking one and not sure if I should ditch the first one if it is becoming diseased?

Sounds like powdery mildew. It is caused by the damp weather.Mine have a touch of it but are still producing like the clappers.I wouldn't get rid of the mildewey one if it is still productive-if the healthy plant is going to get it,it will get it anyway,if not fronm the other plant, then from the wet conditions.

oh thats really helpful, it has been crap weather these last couple of days, so that must be the problem.

Yes, it is still producing, so i shall just let it continue.Thanks.

Mine have had this too - I just waited for the leaves to sort of tatter a bit and then pinched them off, been rewarded with new massive green leaves today and the first two flowers of the year!
