Raspberry plant cutting help needed please

Be nice to me, I am a not-green-fingered-but-trying type. We have recently put some plants in our garden anh have a tomato plant, pomegranate tree, lemon tree (the orange tree didn't take), grape, two strawberry pots and four plant plants ie not friut plants). See I don't even know the terminology. I have also put seed on my bare-in-places lawn.
Anyhow if somebody has a raspberry plant (next door) and I want one too I am sure there is a way of cutting a certain part off theirs and a new one will grow in my pot! Please can somebody tell me how to do this. Any advise on the plants I already have would be greatly appreciated.

I have several raspberry bushes. I planted one I bought two years ago.
It sends off many runners each year. I don't know if this is the right term though. It's like root that surfaces a little bit away from the plant and becomes a little plant.
I dig up the ones I don't need and give them away. I leave the ones that spring up far enough away from the original plant. You could just ask your neighbours to save any runners for you.

Well it's done now - dug up a couple of those runners you were talking about. If it doesn't work I can always ask for spare runner/s next time. Fingers crossed. Thankyou.

If you can plant some forget me not in between they deter a bug which is harmful to raspberry bushes.
