My dd has a couple of acres and her robot mower has changed her life, no exaggeration. I will check which one it is and come back.

Its the Mamotion Luba, she had the 2 and has recently upgraded to the 3. They are amazing but pricey. Hope that helps.

We've had one for 8 months. I was anti-robot as I enjoyed tearing around the garden on our ride-on but at the age of 50, things started to ache! We have a Kress 4x4. It is amazing. It works 2 days a week - 8-6 and cuts an acre of steep garden to look like a tennis court.

I have a Eufy E15 and he is brilliant- small lawn at the moment, but we’re about to move to a much larger garden and though we will have a ride on mower there I’ll be getting a new robot to do the lawn as it looks so good

There is a futniture store here that has a HUGE lawn - on a slope, and has one of the orange and black ones - I think Husquavarna? A person up from us had one keeping her paddock cropped - that looked to be one of the earlier types - all black.
I have seen you can get some with offroad style tyres - proper chunky looking!

I am considering it as we have 1.2 acres and I always get ill after following a petrol mower about for the best part of 4 hours.

We have a small back yard, but the robot makes it a doddle to keep trim. We've got a LawnMaster OcuMow 16 Vision Robot Lawnmower 150m2. It doesn't require any sort of boundary wires as it works on sensors.

QueenOfAccountability · 24/09/2026 15:26

Mine is a Husquavarna which is excellent. It's fitted with a boundary wire because its quite old now, over 10 years. The new ones don't need boundary wires, I'm guessing they work on the same principle as robot hoovers.

Anyway, get one!

We've had a Flymo for 7 years now. I bring her in over winter and fit new blades in the Spring. She's great - and so is the lawn! You need to send them out to cut little and often (height mm) rather than to cut off inches. Ours is old school and does have a boundary wire but once that's fitted they're good to go.
