Can mumsnet help - i want to create a brand new bed beneath my kitchen window, and i like the look of this style. The bed is east facing.

Can anyone help to id the plants on the lower middle of this photo - ie the purple shrub and the ones surrounding it?

I know the tree (not in the bed) is a weeping ash.

The purple is a little Acer, I think.

This is good, ty. I know the garden includes:

acer, hosta, hellebore, epimediums, heucheras, grasses...

so i guess some of those are in there

the climbing plant is climbing hydrangea

I think the purple one is a little acer too.

I think I see Japanese anemones.

Looks like a shady bed, maybe some brunnera?

Closer pictures of the leaves would be better.
