Strong smelling rose

Any recommendations for a strong smelling rose? Not a climber or rambler. So many roses have their smells diluted now, I want one that a smell that is ridiculously strong! Don’t care for colour etc, just the best fragrance

I have Rhapsody in Blue, it smells amazing and as soon as I open the back door I can smell it (it's about 10ft away from the door).

Another vote for Gertrude Jekyll! I find she can be a bit prune to black spot so she needs a good spot in your garden, but the scent is divine! Generally the David Austin roses are good for scent, and you can filter on the website for strongly scented. I’ve also got a Desdemona in my front garden and you can smell that as soon as you open the front door!

If you want to while away an enjoyable evening, have a browse of this website. If you select bush roses filter and click on the drop down menu for specification, it will tell you how strong the scent is. I suspect David Austin we will do similar.
I warn you though: you can easily loose an hour down this very pleasant rabbit hole!

I have the DA constant gardener, it has a very strong fragrance, I love it.

Can I jump on this thread and ask for a strong smelling AND strong coloured rose (ie not white, cream or pale pink, something bright or dark)? Will try the DA and Peter Beale filters too but nice to have a recommendation....

Belle de jour is yellow and has a lovely perfume scent

Chandos Beauty. Çreamy colour with a hint of pink. Gorgeous scent.

I went to my local Waitrose at the weekend and they have just started selling DA roses there. This one smelt incredible and I hope to get it for my garden at some point
