How do I stop foxes digging in my garden?

I have no objection to foxes, I have been known to feed them (away from the house) but they are becoming a real nuisance. Most mornings they’ve dug a hole in the flower beds.. I can usually replant whatever they’ve disturbed. Today though there is a hole in the lawn about a foot deep and I’m tired of it.
We have cameras all over the garden and I can see it’s foxes. I don’t want to stop putting water out (the hedgehogs like it too) but what else can I do?

Foxes are very territorial. I've discouraged them coming into my garden by urinating in key areas and effectively marking my territory. I've had a few complaints from the neighbours so make sure you do it after it gets dark or where they can't see into your garden.

We had a real issue with foxes. I went to Aldi and bought massive pots of chilli powder and sprinkled the whole garden. They never came back. My mum was threatening rags soaked in Jeyes but I wasn’t prepared to do that - I’ve got a dog and the neighbours have cats

I dug a flower bed recently and filled it with new plants and they kept being dug up by foxes and cats. So following various bits of google advice I covered the border in twigs, egg shells and pieces of lemon peel. The problem has stopped in that border but I have seen recipes for garlic water that can deter them too.

Sadly though my poor old knees would object to much squatting.

Pee into a jug and then take it outside.

It didn’t occur to you to pee into a jug in the privacy of your own home and use that to mark your territory?

It could be s badger rather than foxes, not helpful I know but they do tend to move on after a while. They bloody wreck the lawn and flowerbeds and I can’t use the food caddy bin as they can unlock it 🤣

I find they seem to fix on a spot for a while and return to dig again after I’ve replanted. Putting a half brick there, usually seems to deter them

Definitely pee around the area you want protected. I ask DH to do the necessary as no squatting required.

The OP has cameras up and knows it is foxes.
