Hi I’m just wondering if anyone could recommend a good reference book ideally or a website for when we have a glut of something (courgettes!) and want to keep it for after. I suppose I’m after one that has lots of different ideas including letting me know what is ok to just bung in the freezer rather than just lots of different jam and chutney recipes.
Thank you in advance!

I was racking my brain trying to remember a book - was it Dorling Kindersley or Readers Digest? - when I found it here on this list. It has been going since 1985 so it can't be all bad!. I found several S/H copies on Abe Books.
Since you mentioned courgettes, I find courgette bake is good. You can grate and freeze the courgette, and then use it in the bake when you are ready. The bake also freezes nicely. This is similar to the recipe I have (375g = 3 courgette).. It is more like a cake consistency than a quiche consistency. It's perfect for picnics.

River Cottage Preserves is a nice book but tbf I don’t think it has courgette options. I have to say I increasingly just google specific recipes.

A glut of courgettes is impossible. I have tried and tried but I can out eat them.

I find the advice on this academic website invaluable. It covers how to safely preserve all kinds of things by a whole range of preservation methods.https://nchfp.uga.edu/
