So we've recently moved into a rental. We have a decent size garden but it's just a plain rectangle of grass and a narrow path that runs from the back gate to the back door. The soil is claylike and I find the soil can get quite waterlogged with run off from the cement yards our neighbours on either side have.

I'd love to have some sort of seating area as ds and I do like to be outside as much as possible but I don't know what would work in this set up. We've no shed or storage space at all (again would need to be sat directly on the lawn) and I'm worried about ruining the landlords grass as we'll hopefully be moving again around Xmas time. I'd love one of the hanging egg chairs with a flat base pole but I don't know if it'll just sink and get wrecked? Any other suggestions or ideas? As we're only here shortish term I don't want to spend any more than is necessary and I've already had to redo the front as it was a holy state when we moved in.

If it's just for this summer and you don't want to ruin the lawn, what about really portable festival style chairs that can be easily folded up and stored like umbrellas in a closet?
