Automatic watering

I'm looking into an automatic watering system for around 8 pots of bedding plants, Lily and tomato. My Mum used to water them for me when I was away but is it frail now.

I'm looking for recommendations for system. The outside tap is at the front of the house and the pots at the back. Probably a good 15m away. Any recommendations for an automatic system would be great Thanks

Assuming you want something "smart" I would recommend a Meross Water timer MST200. and Gardena Micro-Drip-System Drip Irrigation Set Balcony (15 plants): Starter set,

I would then run a conventional hose with connectors from the front to the back.

The timer has two controllable ports, so you could expand the system later to cover plans or lawn at the rear.

As the controller is "smart", you can schedule it, and get it to skip automatically if it's been raining. (also works with Siri & Alexa, so you can shout at it, or schedule and automate it in Apple Home etc)

I have a two of the slightly older models which have worked perfectly for years.

Meross WiFi Water Timer MST200, 2-Zone Irrigation Timer with Brass Inlet and Outlet, Smart Hose Timer with Automatic Watering & Water Consumption Monitor, Works with Apple HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home : Amazon.co.uk: Home & Kitchen

Great prices on your favourite Home brands, and free delivery on eligible orders.

I have a solar powered watering system that runs off a waterbutt. The more the sun shines the more it waters. Mine is by Irrigatia.
