Shade tomato plants?

I put my tomato plants outside this week. They will be in full sunshine from now until about 3pm.

Given the expected 34 degrees where I am today, should I shade them during the hottest part of the day? Never have done this before, but don't think I've ever dealt with such extreme temperature changes so soon after putting them outside!

not needed assuming they have acclimatised to direct sunshine and don't have sunburn.
do water them well

they might droop their leaves during the hottest part of the day but should be back to normal once cooler.

Yes, they definitely do need to be shaded, they haven't been outdoors long enough to have hardened their leaves off yet. I would also damp down the ground all round the plants to raise humidity in the air around them.
