Will this new tree always grow bent or can I train it straight? Bought online and wasn’t cheap. It’s a red robin

It needs to be planted so the base of the trunk emerges from the ground in the vertical position. You can then attach the bent upper trunk to a series of overlapping bamboo poles to straighten the top half and align it with the base. Like a sort of splint arrangement.

After several years, it will no longer need the bamboo straighteners.

Thank you, I’ve added more stakes and ties and have it straighter now.
