Should I replace a pale wisteria or give it more time?

My 4 ish year old wisteria has flowered, but it looks really pale against the white wall of the house. I’m wonderingc whether I should start again with a darker one, or will it be fine? I don’t want to always be disappointed with it, equally, waiting another 4 years….

it’s a Prolific.

Well once it covers the whole wall it'll be fine so I'd just wait. Or change the colour of your wall (a quicker fix but maybe not a cheaper one) to a less harsh white.

Its beautiful but understated.

If its not to your taste and youd prefer more drama I agree a darker purple would stand out more.

Personally I love it.

When the leaf provides more of a backdrop the colour will stand out against it more. Could you plant another darker one too?

I love it! It’s understated.

Thanks all, I think it’ll probably grow on me. I’m training a clematis through it that will show up more. Repainting the wall isn’t an option.

It is beautiful and is growing really well, and I'm impressed that it has flowered so soon. Keep it.

Its beautiful. It would look amazing if you put a pergola against that wall for it to wind round and drape down from.
