Hi all, currently living in a rental hopefully for the next year at most. The garden is great to have but unfortunately it's very wet with clay soil and can feel quite boggy as it doesn't get the sun at any point in the day. It's all grass with just a small path around the perimeter.

However! I'm determined to make it work as a good space to use for myself and my toddler especially with better weather coming in. I was thinking of investing in a hanging egg chair as it might not be too damaging for the lawn to give me/ us a space to sit and I was thinking an outdoor mat might be a good option for dryer days. However I did wonder if the grass is slightly damp still would it soak through or are these usually waterproof on the underside? Ideally I'd like something fun and vibrant, waterproof on the reverse to stop wet bums and foldable so I can fold it up easily and pop it in a storage box.

Any ideas or has anyone used this type of rug and how have you found it? Ideally not wanting to spend too much probably less than £75.

I tended to use those interlocking foam floor mats when we were in a similar situation. I have a non mobile 5 year old and the foam tiles gave an extra layer of cushioning against stones etc on the ground and were less prone to allowing damp to seep through. You can also make the area as small or as large as you like.
