Woken this morning to my Westerplatte clematis giving me the first burst of colour in the garden.

It's a gloriously sunny day and I'm having my first coffee of the year out on the swing seat and I would love to have more colour around me. What have you got blooming right now please? Pictures very welcome.

I'm a south facing container only gardener. Paved courtyard.

Beautiful OP! I have bluebells everywhere, Ajuga, forget me nots, leopards bane, primroses still going, grape hyacinths, cowslips, pulmonaria - particularly loved by the bees, the white snakeshead fritillaries are still going although purple ones have gone now.

Hawthorn, judas tree, camellia, honesty, grape hyacinths, bluebells, pink azalea, forget-me-nots, dwarf cherry is still hanging on, fleabane (just the one flower open so far), honeysuckle, a random variety of shrubby lonicera with pink flowers I've never been able to identify - and dandelions. 😂

I also noticed this morning that my strawberries have developed buds, so they will be in flower soon.

Bluebells, camellia, forget me nots, Peries are all doing well. Azalea not far off. Begonias and primroses looking promising.

And the lilac is brilliant this year, best I’ve had in a long while.

CharlotteStreetW1 · 18/04/2026 16:04

Bluebells
Pulmonaria (as per pp, covered in bees)
Tulips
Peonies are in bud as is philadephus

Then there's this beauty...

Crab apple, choisya, aquilegia, lilac, ceanothus, cherry blossom 🌸

ButterYellowHair · 18/04/2026 18:19

Bluebells cover our garden. And a few red and yellow tulips. The camellia was gorgeous for a while but is fading now.

TheToteBagLady · 19/04/2026 11:48

Azalea
Camellia
Magnolia
Tulips
primroses
Lilac just beginning
Bleeding hearts
Cherry blossom (saved the best for last)

Thank you all. I'm making a list to make sure I have some of these potted up for next year.

The tree blossom around looks gorgeous but I can't see any from my garden 😢.

My neighbour has clematis montana. Her gardener cut it right back this year so it's only just starting to peep over the fence. I'll be training it over soon - I'm a sharer!

I was a sharer too until the bastard builders ripped it out as it was on their side and left me with nothing on the fence. 😡

I went straight down the garden centre bought another one and now three years later it's on my side of the fence and will be staying.

I lost all the birds too when they did that 😪 so they are slowly coming back more too I'm pleased to say. 😁

My neighbour had three varieties of clematis and a passiflora which grew over our fence but then they sold the house and the new owner has dug it all out but left the large tree that blocks my evening sunshine 😠

Hannaseed · 19/04/2026 18:19
