Anyone else impatiently waiting for them to open?

I planted around 140 bulbs last autumn. They’re all proudly up, but the buds are yet to open. Every morning I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve, excitedly going out to say hello to them and see if they’ve opened yet!

No point to this thread really, just wondering if anyone else is excitedly/impatiently waiting for their new (or existing) bulbs to flower? Come on tulips, dazzle me with your colour 🌷

My tulips have been open for almost a week now. Where do you live? In the north it’s a lot colder so maybe plants are later.

Some open, some not, and I too head out first thing in the morning to see what's new.
Once the blooms are open they change colour as they age too 😍

Different varieties open at different times. I like to plant early flowering ones, so I can then dig them up for my spring planting.

I’m on the North Essex coast. I knew the ones I got were a mix of March and April flowering, doesn’t stop me being impatient though 😂

I forgot to take a photo of the packets, so I can’t even remember what they’re going to look like. I will proudly post a photo once they bloom.
