Anxious in this wind

56mph gusts here and I can’t stop looking out of the window.

All of my seedlings are safe in the greenhouse, but is the greenhouse safe! It’s one of those plastic cover metal frame ones.

I panic ordered 200 ground staples, 15 inch pegs and 100m of reinforced cord from Amazon. I’ve moved it against the back wall of the house, surrounded it with the table and 3 bins as well as laid the kids water filled basketball hoop base across the base. The only way it’ll move is up.

I’m going to be an anxious mess until this wind dies down.

I’ve been there! Staring out the window every time the wind whistles. Those plastic greenhouses are notorious. We call them "tumbleweed greenhouses" for a reason because they love a spontaneous flight across the garden.

Honestly, it sounds like you’ve turned yours into a fortress. Moving it against the house and using that basketball base is a good move. Weight is the only thing that actually works. Just keep an eye on the plastic cover itself, as it can act like a sail and rip even if the frame stays put. If you can, throw a couple of those new cords over the entire roof and anchor them to something solid on either side.

Have you managed to zip the door completely shut and weigh the bottom flap down too?
