Ideas for annuals for morning sun.

The front of my house gets morning sun till about 1.30-2. I have tried several full sun annuals but they grow just not particularly well. So does anyone have this kind of situation and what would you plant.
My driveway isn’t garden it is all brick. So I have fairly large pots out the front. So any ideas.

My calendula does well in at a similar light level.

Do you feed and water your pots regularly? Pelargoniums, fuchsias, petunias do well in my similar front garden. Or you could have potted trees - Japanese maple, box, olive trees would work.

Morning glory in a large pot climbing up a tripod of poles. Lovely sky blue flowers and gives some height, also grows quickly so it really 'greens up' the space
