this is a well-established apple tree, being pruned by a novice gardener (me!)
is it advisable to remove that large central branch?
it will affect our privacy somewhat, but the tree is becoming too big and dense for the space and my googling seems to say that apple trees should have a goblet shape.
any help would be hugely appreciated, thank you!
