Best pressure washer?

I want to get a pressure washer to clean my paths and small patio but I am disabled (walk with one crutch) so not sure if there is a good one that I would manage.
I have never used or owned one before so my knowledge is zero.
Any advice please?

Can you just borrow one? Ask locally. We often lend ours out to friends and family.

Do you have a window cleaner, if so have you asked them if they could do it - it would be cheaper than buying something and safer for you?

Having got a few quotes it is actually more than twice the price. Hence I want to buy my own.

Having jet washed my patio with a Karcher today, I think I would really have struggled to do it while holding a crutch. The unit needs to be moved around, and often topples over. The electric cable gets in the way and needs to be untangled from the pressure hose, which has a strong desire to stay curled. The components are not easy to clip together and require some force applied.

Maybe a cordless, portable type would be more practical for you? This one from Ryobi had a good review in the Guardian last year https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ryobi-RY18PW22A-0-18V-ONE-Cordless/dp/B08JM2XZGX but I haven’t tried it myself. You would need to purchase the battery separately.

I would recommend you borrow one from a neighbour before you commit to one. I hate using mine, it’s my least favourite job, and I’m reasonably fit. If you can’t borrow from a neighbour before, you may have a local Library of Things where you can rent one cheaply for a few days.
