Summer bulbs

In my local aldi today and they had in their summer bulbs etc.

Might have gone definitely a little bonkers with how much I bought, there were loads left I didn't take everything (had to stop myself).

My dh saw the bag, looked a bit stunned, told him it was his fault encouraging me last year by saying "should have grown more" because the dahlias I bought last year from aldi put on a lovely show.

I'll have to check out my Aldi for some bulbs, but they don't usually have much. You can never have too many beautiful flowers in the garden. The bees will thank you. Tell DH that it's all for the bees.

@Hedgesgalore i don’t have much luck with Dahlias. Did you plant them in pots or in the ground?

This is where I was lucky with timing, they must have just put out the two boxes.

I put mine in pots and keep them close to my main route through the garden so that I get to enjoy them, dead head and feed/water easily.

I have a box of summer bulbs sitting by my feet. I'm itching to plant them, but waiting for March when - I hope - danger of frost has passed. Is everyone else waiting, or just shoving them in now?
