Replacement greenhouse glass

If you needed to replace a few glass panes in a greenhouse would you opt for glass or acrylic/polycarbonate for those panes? Is there any reason for NOT having a mix of panes?

No they are both ridiculously expensive -try marketplace there must have been a few gone for good during the storms!

Oh! Last year I was gifted a greenhouse...lost it in a sodding storm. Just been gifted another - different design, more solid. But its missing 4 or 5 panes. For some reason I didnt even think of marketplace. I'll get the measurements and get on it. And maybe offload the very few I saved from my old one too.

I was always told that horticultural glass lets in more light.

I can't see why you couldn't have a mix, unless you were worried about the look.

The worst thing is having a hole or one missing pane as that can cause the remaining panes all to shatter if the wind gets in.
